Georg, I agree. To much time and funding is often wasted on organizational concepts and planning, when so many volunteers accomplish much more just by doing something positive. Recent trends in web communications show that people are eager to share ideas and "move mountain" without the tag of an organizational endorsement.

However, Change agents are critical and organizational structures and demands are with us forever despite the web. There is a delicate balance there that requires constant analysis to maintain effective and efficient progress toward a goal.

This is a neat post. When I think of RFID tags in environmental work, I usually think of tagging animals to see where they go. I would never have thought about using them to track waste and fraud. Thanks for making the connection.

I was ego surfing today and stumbled on this post. Thank you for the mention and am glad you appreciated our efforts.

Do feel free to check on the HelpMumbai.Pinstorm.com page now. Four months on, we have managed to collect a tidy sum for those affected in the Mumbai terror attacks and are helping rehabilitate the victims :)

Cheers to Social Media,
Asfaq Tapia :)
