world map of social networks

by

Having had a look at the powerful example of the Egyptian revolution using facebook to organise themselves mentioned on the panel and in the previous blog post, I remembered this nice map that gives an idea of the most popular social networks around the world. It also shows very well that Africa still lacks behind in many ways regarding the usage of internet and the social web, as a large number of countries could not even be included.

Hi Georg, excellent post. In terms of designing and implementing high-impact social media campaigns (as opposed to more ad-hoc and snowball like events such as the Egyptian facebook example) it’s critical to base decision-making on research in the same way we would do using more “traditional” means for advocacy. Planning has to include market research, for which Universal McCann’s Social Media Tracker http://www.universalmccann.com/Assets/wave_3_20080403093750.pdf provides an excellent starting point and audience research, for which Forrester Research has developed a nice tool that is free to use in its basic version http://www.forrester.com/Groundswell/profile_tool.html including the big Northern target markets. Still looking around for more and especially non-commercial tools, but some of the data in these two examples clearly shows how fragmented the use of the tools and the social media population is.

I work and earn income online sharing entrepreneurs tips and tricks.

Metacafe is perhaps a properly-known selection for social networking.
With the help of Android Emulator, mobile app developers can certainly take on examining as well as debugging on Android device-emulators, making them to make the Android platform
environment, which usually simulates the functions both of the operating system as well as hand-held devices.
